Paris - Day One

Welcome to Paris! Here is our great gem of a hotel, the Sofitel Trocadero Dokhans - very quaint - very Paris - (very small rooms). The location was perfect to kick off our 2 day layover in Paris before we head to India.




Breakfast, of course, at a little street side cafe!




And a visit to the Eiffel Tower - Aren't we sweet!

"Combes" name on the tower (one of 72 names which appear). These were distinguished Parisians who were recognized by Gustave Eiffel for their contributions to French Society. Emile Combes was an engineer and metallurgist.




The d'Orsay Museum from the Seine River. We took a river cruise and got an interesting view of the sights along the Seine.
